What you need to get your Private Helicopter Pilot’s License from the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration)

  1. Class III Medical Clearance
  2. Complete the FAA Private Pilot Written Examination
  3. Minimum of 40 Hours Helicopter Flying with FAA Certified Instructor
  4. Oral Exam and Check Ride with FAA Examiner or FAA Designated Examiner
